Project Mine Geologist

On behalf of our client, Adriatic Metals BH, a company engaged in the development and exploration of precious and base metals, and owning the globally advanced polymetallic Vareš Project, Manpower BiH is looking for a motivated candidate to fulfill the position: Project Mine Geologist
Job Description

Coordinating and executing all geological Grade Control modelling and related drilling activities to link and sync with mine planning.
In coordination with the Senior Resource geologist, plan, implement and supervise mine exploration activities to increase resources and reserves at Rupice
Contribute to short (weekly), medium (three monthly) and long-term (LOM) mine plans and schedules
Liaise with Minex and Regional Exploration
Monitor and report on QAQC results, and take appropriate action where necessary
Prepare daily/weekly reporting, ensuring information is true and accurate
Fully participate in geological mapping, drill core or chip logging, surface sampling, drill program execution, in addition to any supervisory responsibilities
Ensure all operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner with due regard to local community concerns
Prepare, update and follow all relevant Mining Geology Procedures as directed
Ensure grade control block models are available and meet the mining schedule
Planning and monitoring drilling activities
Assist with preparation of daily and weekly reports by the due date
 

Job requirements

Undergraduate Bachelor or Master of Science (Geology) or related tertiary qualification.
3-5 years of experience
Experience in UG operations
Demonstrates strong conceptual skills and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to respond to a changing work environment.
Good time management and organisational skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
Active knowledge of English language
Driving license B

Job description

Display the organization’s values in all actions and activities
Support the organizations strategy through effective and efficient Receiving processes and procedures.
Adhere to quality standards of the organisation relating the role.
Regularly report challenges, progress and successes to the Logistics Supervisor and Procurement Contracts Manager to ensure alignment and effectivity.
Preparation documentation and handling of the entire related paperwork.
Joint Inspection of all Inbound goods with SME (Subject Matter Expat).
Assist with warehousing, transportation and distribution of materials and supplies
Collation and archiving of documentation
Uploading reports on Share drive and maintaining files
Uploading of data into ERP System in accordance with GR (Good Receipts), Delivery Documents, Invoice, etc.
Maintain records of correspondence

Requirements 

SSS/VSS
Minimum 1 years of work experience at the same or similar positions.
Active computer knowledge with basic programmes (MS Office + WWW)

Safety

Demonstrate personal commitment to safety and environmental and social responsibility practices.
Adhere to Local Law and Adriatic Metals H&S Management System, agreed procedures, safeguards, and controls.
Conduct in-field safety interactions. 
Coaching others in effective Hazard identification and Controls application. 

Operating Discipline

1.    Material Development

Contribute to the development of training content within the approved Technical Training Framework as required. 
Prepare, update, and maintain appropriate knowledge assessments related to training content.
Ensure that training content are updated as conditions and procedures in the operating environment change to ensure up to date and relevant training content.
Maintain training and assessment content in LMS in accordance with internal standards and procedures.

2.    Content Delivers

Plan training sessions in accordance with annual training plan monthly completing the following activities:
Booking training participants on planned training courses in LMS
Arrange attendance with supervisors and inform participants.
Book training venues and arrange food and transport if required.
Prepare training materials.
Follow-up and ensure attendance.
Analyse learner feedback and propose improvements.
Deliver planned training content in a suitable format (E-Learning, Face to Face or in the workplace) meeting quality and approved delivery plan requirements.
Facilitate the verification of competence process underground as scheduled and planned.
Organize and monitor External Provider Training as per scope of work.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Update and maintain individual training matrixes.
Keep accurate and updated training records (training records for both internal and external training, attendance sheets, results of learner assessments, and learning program evaluations) in the Company Learning Management System.
Prepare feedback reports of progress against monthly and annual training plans for areas of responsibility.
Maintain accurate records of training support equipment and assets.

Requirements 

VSS-Bachelor in Mining Engineering, OHS or other technical faculty.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
3-5 years of experience in same or similar roles (for senior candidates)

Job description
Assist with discovery focussed exploration on specific projects within the Raska project through:

Increased geological understanding of Raska and wider region
Developing good exploration targets with rigorous, but cost-effective testing and evaluation
Design and implement a variety of field exploration programs
Implements appropriate sample quality control measures
Communicating results, observations and recommendations to management
Development and mentoring of all direct reports
Participates in audits of sample collection, dispatch and data interpretation.
Ensure all operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner with due regard to local community concerns
Expected to fully participate in geological mapping, drill core or chip logging, surface sampling, drill program execution, in addition to any supervisory responsibilities

Job description

Performs accurate and timely written translation of Departmental technical and administrative documentation inclusive of but not restricted to memorandums, reports, procedures, guidelines, meeting minutes, presentations, training materials, contracts and general formwork.
Provides interpretation services as required for the Geology Department, including but not restricted to internal and external meetings, site visits, tours, and presentations for and with Company staff and or external parties. External parties may include consultants, contractors, local community, government representatives, corporate staff and others.
Provide translation and organizational support during business trips by Management and Company personnel in and outside of Bosnia and Serbia. 
Provide administrative and office support to the Geology Department.
Arrange meeting facilities, materials and equipment.
Arrange travel itineraries for Geology team members.
Prepare and submit expense claim forms.
Complete data entry as required.
Coordinate monthly timesheet submissions.
Attend meetings, prepare meeting minutes, action lists and distribute in a timely manner.
General clerical duties including writing correspondence, tracking incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing, Department calendar management, meeting and event scheduling.
Coordinate with other department and contractor administrative staff to ensure effective communications between groups.
Coordinate with administration staff in other project locations i.e., Raska, Sarajevo, Tisovsci, Rupice.

Job requirements

Exceptional English speaking, reading, writing and comprehension skills.
Accredited Balkan-English technical translation Qualification is highly desired;
Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration.
Demonstrated skills and knowledge in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint as an advanced user.
Advantageous to have skills in MS Project and Visio.
Minimum 3 years working as an Administrative Assistant and or Translator.
High-level communication skills – able to communicate with people of different backgrounds.
Ability to deal effectively and patiently with people from different technical, cultural and organizational backgrounds.
