Project Mine Geologist
On behalf of our client, Adriatic Metals BH, a company engaged in the development and exploration of precious and base metals, and owning the globally advanced polymetallic Vareš Project, Manpower BiH is looking for a motivated candidate to fulfill the position: Project Mine Geologist
Job Description
- Coordinating and executing all geological Grade Control modelling and related drilling activities to link and sync with mine planning.
- In coordination with the Senior Resource geologist, plan, implement and supervise mine exploration activities to increase resources and reserves at Rupice
- Contribute to short (weekly), medium (three monthly) and long-term (LOM) mine plans and schedules
- Liaise with Minex and Regional Exploration
- Monitor and report on QAQC results, and take appropriate action where necessary
- Prepare daily/weekly reporting, ensuring information is true and accurate
- Fully participate in geological mapping, drill core or chip logging, surface sampling, drill program execution, in addition to any supervisory responsibilities
- Ensure all operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner with due regard to local community concerns
- Prepare, update and follow all relevant Mining Geology Procedures as directed
- Ensure grade control block models are available and meet the mining schedule
- Planning and monitoring drilling activities
- Assist with preparation of daily and weekly reports by the due date
Job requirements
- Undergraduate Bachelor or Master of Science (Geology) or related tertiary qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience
- Experience in UG operations
- Demonstrates strong conceptual skills and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond to a changing work environment.
- Good time management and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
- Active knowledge of English language
- Driving license B
